c-plusplus.hq.willboyce.com
is my workstation, the name “c-plusplus” is short for chimaera-plusplus and a pun, derived from her old name, “chimaera.hq.willboyce.com” and the popular programming language, C++. I renamed from chimaera to c-plusplus recently, as I felt the need to rename my machine because I’ve changed so much since the original build.. but all is still in the same case, so it doens’t feel like a new pc!.. Infact, I think all that’s left is the Case and the Seagate Hard Drive from the original chimaera!
She consists of an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ with a 333MHz FSB Barton Core, housed in an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Motherboard. Supporting this is 1GB of Crucial PC3200 DDR400 RAM and a XFX GeForce 6200 which has a core clock speed of 350Mhz and 256Mb RAM running at 400Mhz.All this is powered by a mighty Tagan 530W EasyCon SLi PSU
My hard drives are as follows:
- Primary IDE Master: Seagate Barracude ATA IV 80Gb 7200rpm 2Mb Cache, Average Seek Time 9.5ms, Ultra ATA/100
- Primary IDE Slave: Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 80Gb 7200rpm 8Mb Cache, Average Seek Time 9.3ms, Ultra ATA/133
- Secondary IDE Master: Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200Gb 7200rpm 8Mb Cache, Average Seek Time 9.0ms, Ultra ATA/133
- Secondary IDE Slave: Maxtor MaXLine III 250Gb 7200rpm 16Mb Cache, Average Seek Time 9.0ms, Ultra ATA/133
- SATA0: Samsung SpinPoint P 250Gb 7200rpm 8Mb Cache, Average Seek Time 8.9ms, Serial ATA/3.0Gbps
- SATA1: Samsung SpinPoint P 250Gb 7200rpm 8Mb Cache, Average Seek Time 8.9ms, Serial ATA/3.0Gbps
The two SATA drives are housed inside Vantec Vortex HD Coolers.
I also have a LeadTek WinFast DVT 1000T HDTV/AC3 Digital Terrestrial/FreeviewPCI Card, and a Netgear MA311 802.11b PCI Card.

There was this guy see.
He wasn’t very bright and he reached his adult life without ever having learned “the facts”.
Somehow, it gets to be his wedding day.
