the life of me, by me
..So, I just woke up, and I am not happy! I went to bed about 1900. Clare was due to ring me at 2000, and we’d go to the cinema… Never happened, so I slept through, until my body was satisfied, which appeared be at 0600!.. So, like any self-respecting geek would, I’ll be taking advantage of being up at perfect dev time and do some dev on something, probably this site…. Glad I recorded Mission: Impossible!
So, didn’t get any sleep on thursday night, and left for Rhyl at 0700 with Clare. The funeral started at around 0900. There was a tremendous turn-out.. My Nana would be so proud! 
After the Church ceremony, we all travelled to Colwyn Bay to the cemetary for the cremation ceremony, which started at approximately 1100. After this, we travelled back to Kimnel Bay to the Mayquay for the wake. Even more people turned up and Dad’s open tab was abused with a high amount of effort and devotion. Unfortunately, I struggle to blog the next few hours, because I don’t remember much of what happened. I do recall speaking to Paul, and giving him this URL, so Hi Paul.. if you’re reading! I also remember walking around with a bottle of red wine, which could explain why I don’t remember much!
I’m told we left the pub at around 2200, which sounds about right. Everyone went back to Grandad’s and continued drinking. I got attacked by my Aunty Katie and a pair of scissors, and now have a wonky haircut! Thanks very much for that one. Shortly after this I went to St. Asaph to a gig/party with Dean and his girlfriend, Clare. The band were pretty good to be honest, altho the signing was pretty dire. Saw someone from my old 6th Form in LSA!! pretty f’king random!
Pretty much all I have to report on the occasion really.. My Nana would be proud the amount of people that came to show their grief. I am sure she is smiling down on you all, and saying “Thank You”.

If I may say so myself! And I think I may! That’s right, in record speed, WBstats v2.0 is available already! I’ve cleaned up the code, ironed out a few bugs, and added a shite load of new features, the most noticable being stats.php which can display all kinds of funky information about your blog. You can preview it by clicking on the “x Users Online” link in the sidebar. This file also show information all about your music listening habbits, viewable by clicking on the currently playing song title.
I have decided to release this as a beta, because I am very very tired, and there are probably a few bugs/missing features that need sorting out.. I’ll get round that that. As usual, WBstats can be gotten here.
Today; April 27th, 2006, marks a monumental occasion… The release of the WBstats Widget, an additon for the Wordpress Widgets Plugin. The plugin adds another widget to your dynamic sidebar with options to show your current playing track (via last.fm), your project dolphin stats, and customisable output from myStatus and WP-UserOnline. It can be downloaded from here.
Another late night shop run, I think the people in the shop are gettin fed up of me arriving as they are about to lock the door, but what can you do?.. Infact, that reminds me about my trip to maplin yesterday, where they were shut at 1755, and were supposed to be open til 1800 so I rang and enquired on my mobile and got let in! hah!
Anyway, pretty uneventful trip to the shop, got that milk I forgot the get earlier and spotted a new chocolate bar…. A “Cadbury Crunchie Blast”, so I figured I’d do what any true-blooded geek would do. I’d blog the event. To be honest, the Crunchie Blast was a real disappointment, far too much chocolate and not enough of the honeycomb stuff, which, tbh, is not what I want when I’m buying a crunchie… As for the whole I’m going to make your mouth crackle for ages and drinking will only make it worse effect, well I feel it’s far too pass√ɬ© and cadbury’s should know better! Shame on you!
To conclude, I am not impressed…. Just get a crunchie, you get what you want, without any horrible side effects!
